1987 Prototype Eric Clapton Strat above was stolen from me on the set of The Late Show in 1988. In 2009 I received an anonymous phone call from someone who said their friend had stolen it and gave it to him and that he would like to return it to me. Unbelievable. The guitar is in exactly the same condition I last saw it. A small miracle.
Vinnie Vento Gave me this 1958 Gibson Amp. One of the sweetest Amps I ever heard, 1-15” speaker
MY 1959 Fender Strat. This was a gift from Glenn Frey. He bought everyone in the band an instrument in 1982 when he produced our Cardiac party record. A very generous man.
Vinnie Vento Gave me his Uncles 1938 custom Regal acoustic guitar, Check out the mother of pearl inlay on the headstock
I bought this 1958 4-10 Tweed Fender Bassman in 1973 for $200. There is no amp that sounds better. The first person I heard play one was in 1969 - Mick Taylor playing with john Mayalls Bluesbreaker
59 Strat, 78 Epiphone, 58 Danelctro
Andrew has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than thirty years as a performer, creator, producer and manager. His accomplishments have spanned the music, television and film industries, having worked with major name stars in those fields.
Growing up in Boston, Andrew felt the pull of California and the Los Angeles music scene, where he landed a gig as guitarist in Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra, later re-joining the lead singer from his Berklee College of Music band, Natalie Cole, for her world tour.
As an actor, he has performed in both television (Laverne & Shirley) and film (Tuff Turf) and as a guitarist on The Tonight Show and The Fox Late Show. His music career expanded to include working with Bonnie Raitt, Michael Bolton, James Brown, R.E.M., The Young Rascals, and members of Police.
A long-time fan of the Jack Mack band, Olympic skating hero Scott Hamilton, recruited Andrew to work with IMG and NBC on a series of live televised shows across the country. Always interested in expanding his knowledge and skills, Andrew became an accomplished video editor, recording engineer and graphic designer, so that he could readily “jump in” as needed on critical projects. Andrew’s new design company is ADK Design and he designed and built this website.
Andrew’s talents as a composer led music publishing giant Warner Chappel Music to lure him from the stage to create music for their hit projects in both television and film. His music was heard in the films Police Academy and In The Heat of The Night. Andrew also wrote Gold Record songs for the likes of Barry White, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson, and Aaron Neville.
This picture was taken in 1972. I paid $500 for the 58 Sunburst Les Paul, unfotuneatley I sold it in 1981 for $5,500. Today it is worth approximately $400,000. The resonator guitar on the left and the 57 Strat belonged to Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac, The Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty was a 59 and belonged to my friend Eliot Kaplan, Today these 4 guitars are worth a total of $550,000. If we only knew.
